Let the Word of Christ richly dwell with you, with all wisdom, teaching and admonishing one another with psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, singing with thankfulness in your hearts to God. - Colossians 3:16
Dear Friends:
I invite you to share your gifts as we continue to build upon the wonderful legacy in music ministry that is St. Andrew's Presbyterian Church! As we gather together in "joyful, Christ-centered worship," we have many opportunities for you, your children and friends to become involved and give. I love the Colossians 3 passage above because music is one of the precious vehicles in which the Word of God can richly dwell (abide, rest, be at home) in our hearts and lives. Second, we can do this together and with one another. Third, we are commanded to worship God and encourage one another in a variety of musical ways, styles and settings (psalms, hymns, spiritual songs)—the great hymns of our faith, anthems based on Scripture, songs of testimony, contemporary songs and spirituals—that all reflect our joyful, heartful thankfulness to God and our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ!
Join our Sanctuary Choir, instrumental ensembles, vocal ensembles and worship teams that serve on Sunday mornings and seasonal concerts and our awesome teaching ministry called "Children's Graded Choirs" on Wednesday evenings. As believers, we can give no finer gift to God than excellent worship music drawn from humble and thankful hearts. Neither can we give a finer gift to ourselves and our children. If you love music and have instrumental, vocal or technical skills, we invite you to participate and serve.
Faithfully,
Dr. James Melton
Minister of Music and Worship

Relevant Academy of Music
There is something special about making music on an instrument or together with others. It can be inspiring, relaxing, sometimes frustrating, but very often just plain fun.
The mission of St. Andrew’s Relevant Academy of Music is to provide a place where kids, teens and adults can learn the skills it takes to “make a joyful noise.” Within the St. Andrews context, we want that place to be one that provides music instruction in a caring, encouraging and fun environment.
In this schedule you will find our first listing of classes which range from guitar and piano to basic music fundamentals. We offer these for kids, teens, but also have provided opportunities for those adults who always wanted to try music lessons or brush up on their music basics.
A class structure is a good way to try music lessons.
It's a good test to see if you or your child enjoy it.
It's a more affordable way to start music lessons.
A place you can experience the fun and interaction of learning music with others.
If you or your child is interested and ready, we also provide private lessons. For more info on private lessons, contact Grace, 949.574.2233.
Look through the schedule and see what is being offered. Decide what kind of music-making you or your child would like to try. Then, fill out the registration form online (link below) or pick up a form in the Music Office.
Music Blessings,
Grace Marestaing & Brandon Muchow, directors

Direct from our 001 storage rooms came a set of choir robes long since forgotten by St. Andrew’s. But, as God’s timing would have it, there was a need for robes in Africa and we were able to bless several churches by donating our old robes for a new life of usefulness and musical performance.
Thanks to Judy Howard, our receptionist, her nephew saw the need for robes on his first musical mission trip to Africa and asked if we knew anyone with robes they could donate to the churches. With the cooperation of our staff and a little digging through storage, we were able to meet the need!
Thank you Jeff Allen for seeing a need and helping the Body of Christ share the resources He has provided to us.
