response through spiritual nurture, education, healthcare
and vocational preparation.

Teacher: John & Jude Tiersma Watson
Date: May
25
Time: 10:15
AM
Place: Chapel
"We know a lot about poverty. It is the poor we don't know." This class will not so much describe poverty, as introduce the value of relationships with the urban poor. Jesus entered into relationships with people, and calls us to follow in his footsteps. John and Jude will share from their 20 years of living and working with the urban poor in central Los Angeles.
Born in the Netherlands, Jude immigrated as a child with her family to the United States. Before moving to Los Angeles, she worked as a missionary under YWAM in counseling and rehabilitation in Amsterdam, the Netherlands, and Katmandu, Nepal. Jude is also an Associate Professor of Urban Mission in the School of Intercultural Studies at Fuller Theological Seminary.
John and Jude Tiersma Watson live and work together in the Westlake imigrant neighborhood of Los Angeles. They share their vision for reaching the next generation of urban youth through long-term mentoring and discipleship. They both serve inner city missionaries through innerchange.
