Welcome to our WEEKEND MINISTRY information page. We call our weekend ministries for kids “CrossTraining” and “TrainingWheels” because this is a place where we “Train Children to Follow the CROSS of Christ!.” Please read all about our ministry and what we offer for your family. Children's programs are offered at all three service hours:

Saturday 5:30 p.m., Sunday 8:30 a.m. or 10:15 a.m. 

We hope you will get involved in growing kids in faith and if you have any questions or comments . . . . please drop by or give us a call. We are here to serve you!

Nursery
The purpose of our nursery is to meet the needs of the youngest children of our congregation, so they will feel loved and valued. Our objective is to keep the children safe and happy, to show them the love of God and have their first associations with the church be a positive one.

TrainingWheels (3 yrs-PreK)
Age appropriate worship and Bible teaching for preschoolers. In a large group children sing God’s praises and experience God’s Word through drama and storytelling. Small groups follow, with Bible application specifically geared toward preschoolers. Time for playing and making friends at church is built into this ministry. CrossTraining Kindergarten
A unique approach to “children’s ministry”, integrating Christian education and worship. The child’s faith is nurtured as the class assembles in God’s name, proclaims God’s word, gives thanks to God and goes in God’s name. Storytelling, art and specially designed activities provide an opportunity for children to quietly meet and worship God.

CrossTraining (1st-6th)
This Sunday School teaches Biblical truths in a child-targeted, relevant, and creative way in a Large Group setting. We model loving, Biblical community in a Small Group where life change happens best.

Worship Participation

Every weekend 3rd- 6th graders have the opportunity to participate in our Sanctuary worship, by symbolically 'bringing in the light' at the beginning of worship and 'carrying the light out into the world' at the end of worship.  This is a centuries-old tradition in the Christian church called "ACOLYTE." Children who have signed up and gone through Acolyte training are placed on teams throughout the year.  Below is our Acolyte Team Schedule for this month.
